Off-Street Parking, Loading and Unloading
Jackson Zoning Ordinance § 1109-A
in effectOn the same premises with every building, structure, or part thereof, erected and occupied
for manufacturing, storage warehouse, food processing or wholesale distribution plant,
hotel, hospital, or other uses similarly involving the receipt or distribution by vehicles
of materials, merchandise, goods and services, there shall be provided and maintained on
the lot, adequate space for the parking, loading and unloading services, in order to avoid
undue interference with the public use of the streets and/or alleys. One (1) space shall be
required for every twenty thousand (20,000) square feet or fraction thereof in excess of
three thousand (3,000) square feet of gross floor area used for purposes mentioned
herein. Access, maneuvering area and ramps shall be furnished off the street right-of-way
and so arranged that vehicles do not have to back into the street.
