Sec. 18-113. - Survivor benefits. In the event a deputy sheriff major, deputy sheriff division chief or the undersheriff is killed in the line of duty, the city shall provide medical and dental insurance coverage to the officer's surviving spouse and dependents for a period of one (1) year after the date of the officer's death, and the cost of such coverage will paid entirely by the city.
