Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-751 Prohibited areas for fishing within the NCRCRA.

§ 38-751. - Prohibited areas for fishing within the NCRCRA. No person shall fish from or off of dam and lock structures or in or on the water within 100 feet of the dam and lock structures of the NCRCRA. (Ord. No. 22702, § 1, 4-5-05)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-752 Bow fishing and snagging fish prohibited.

§ 38-752. - Bow fishing and snagging fish prohibited. Bow fishing and snagging fish are prohibited in or upon the waters of the NCRCRA. (Ord. No. 22702, § 1, 4-5-05)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-753 Noodling.

§ 38-753. - Noodling. Noodling, as defined in this article, is permitted in the waters of the NCRCRA from N.W. 10th Street bridge downstream to the MacArthur Street bridge. Wading is permitted to the extent necessary while engaged in noodling. (Ord. No. 22702, § 1, 4-5-05)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-754 Restrictions on game fish.

§ 38-754. - Restrictions on game fish. (a) No game fish, as defined in this chapter, shall be used as bait. (b) No person shall take any game fish, as defined in this chapter, by any means other than by hook-and-line. (c) Anglers may take game fish, as defined in this chapter, according to the limits set forth in Subsection (d) of this section in any one day from midnight to midnight, and licensed nonresident anglers shall not have in their possession on leaving the State more than a legal two-day catch of any species of said game fish. (d) Specific limitations. When measuring fish, length is measured from the tip of the snout to the end of the tail, with the fish laid flat on a ruler, mouth closed and tail lobes pressed together. Provided, however, in no event shall any person take, catch, or kill any fish in violation of the method of taking, length limits, and bag limits as set by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission of the State of Oklahoma or in violation of the restrictions in this section. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-755 Fisherman's floats.

§ 38-755. - Fisherman's floats. (a) No person shall use a fisherman's float, as defined in this chapter, in the NCRCRA except during daylight hours. (b) Fisherman's floats may be used in the NCRCRA in tributaries and coves, necks, and within 100 feet of the shorelines where not otherwise prohibited by ordinance. (c) All persons using fisherman's floats, as defined in this chapter, shall wear Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices at all times when operating floats in the NCRCRA. (Ord. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-756 Permits generally.

§ 38-756. - Permits generally. Permits for fishing in the waters of the NCRCRA shall be issued by such persons as City Council may designate. Such fishing permits shall be issued for the period of time and amounts as prescribed in this article and shall be subject to the limitations and restrictions set forth in this article. (Ord. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-757 Expiration and renewal.

§ 38-757. - Expiration and renewal. (a) Annual fishing permits shall expire one year from the date of issuance as noted on the permit and may be issued at any time during the year. No annual fishing permit shall be issued without the date of issuance being noted thereon. (b) Daily fishing permits shall expire 24 hours from the date and time of issuance as noted on the permit and may be issued at any time during the day. No daily fishing permit shall be issued without the date and time of issuance being noted thereon. (Ord. No. 22702, § 1, 4-5-05)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-758 Senior citizens exemption.

§ 38-758. - Senior citizens exemption. Any person who shall have attained the age of 62 years shall not be required to purchase or hold a permit to fish in the waters of the NCRCRA; provided such person shall carry on his/her person while fishing positive written evidence that he/she has attained such age. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-759 Exemption for disabled veterans.

§ 38-759. - Exemption for disabled veterans. (a) Any and all veterans who are duly enrolled on the Veterans Administration records as disabled to the extent of 60 percent or more shall not be required to purchase or hold a permit to fish in the waters of the NCRCRA. Any veteran exercising such privilege shall carry on his/her person his/her claim number card and evidence of the percentage of his/her disability. He/she shall present such card and evidence to the Chief of Police upon request. (b) For purposes of this section, the word veteran shall mean any honorably discharged person who has served in the armed forces of the United States. (Ord. No. 22702, § 1, 4-5-05)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-760 Exemption for blind persons.

§ 38-760. - Exemption for blind persons. Any person who is legally blind, as defined by State law, and any one sighted person actually accompanying a legally blind person while the latter is fishing, shall not be required to purchase and hold a permit to fish in the waters of the NCRCRA. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-761 Exemption for other physically disabled persons.

§ 38-761. - Exemption for other physically disabled persons. (a) Any person with a physical disability of at least 60 percent, as certified by a medical doctor licensed to practice medicine in this State, shall have the privilege of fishing in the waters of the NCRCRA without having to obtain a fishing permit. Any person exercising this privilege shall carry said proof of the percentage of disability upon his/her person and present it to the Chief of Police upon request. (b) A physically impaired person who is unable to properly use fishing apparatus because of said physical impairment may be accompanied by one person to assist in this activity. The fishing assistant need not have a fishing permit. (Ord. No. 22702, § 1, 4-5-05)

Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-762 Permit privileges generally.

§ 38-762. - Permit privileges generally. Fishing permits shall allow fishing 24 hours per day in the waters of the NCRCRA, subject to the periods and times authorized by State and Federal law, and shall not permit fishing in any area that may be otherwise restricted as provided by ordinance, rule, or regulation in accordance with NCRCRA policies and guidelines. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-763 Limitations and restrictions on fishing equipment.

§ 38-763. - Limitations and restrictions on fishing equipment. (a) A fishing permit shall entitle the holder thereof to the use of not more than three lines, rods, or poles. Not more than three hooks shall be used on any one line; provided this restriction shall not apply to artificial lures with more than three hooks. (b) Nets, yo-yos, traps, gigs, spears, cast nets, gill nets, hoop nets, trawl nets, trammel nets or seines of any kind, trot, jug, limb, or throw lines shall not be used in the waters of the NCRCRA. Oklahoma City Municipal Code § 38-764 Numerical limitations.

§ 38-764. - Numerical limitations. No more than one fishing permit shall be issued to any one person. (Ord. No. 22702, § 1, 4-5-05)
