§ 2-172. - Assistant City Clerk. There is hereby created in the Division of Public Management the office of Assistant City Clerk, who shall perform all of the duties of the City Clerk in the latter's absence or inability to serve, or when requested to do so by the City Clerk at any other time. The Assistant City clerk, when acting as Clerk of the City Council, shall be within the Division of Public Affairs. (Code 1970, § 2-69; Code 1980, § 2-122)
