§ 2-173. - Deputy City Clerk. There is hereby created in the Division of Public Management the office of Deputy City Clerk, who shall perform all of the duties of the City Clerk in the latter's absence or inability to serve. The Deputy City Clerk, when acting as Clerk of the City Council, shall be within the Division of Public Affairs. The Deputy City Clerk shall be appointed by the City Manager, and shall be a member of the staff of the City Clerk. (Ord. No. 16966, § 1(2-69.1), 12-21-82; Code 1980, § 2-123)
