Miss. Code Ann. § 75-24-61
in effectAny person willfully violating any of the provisions of Section 75-24-53 is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed six (6) months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
