The measurement of the number of housing units in an area or located on a specific parcel or lot. Density is typically expressed through the calculation of dwelling units per acre (du/ac). Dwelling units per acre shall be calculated by dividing the total number of dwelling units proposed under a single development permit by the total project site area, expressed in acres or fractions thereof.
