General Provisions The purpose of the Mixed-Use Districts is to allow for the development of a mix of residential, institutional and commercial uses within the same district. These districts are used to establish development centers throughout the city at the neighborhood, community and regional scale, as discussed in the Future Land Use of the Comprehensive Plan. Mixed-Use Districts implement the following goals and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan: 1. Quality physical growth and development: “Promote compact and contiguous development.” 2.
