A. When a minimum facade height is required in downtown zones, the height of the facade shall be measured from the elevation of the street property line at the sidewalk as depicted in Exhibit 23.86.024 A. Areaways, stairways and other excavations at the property line shall not be considered in measuring the elevation of the street property line. When sidewalk widening is required according to Section 23.49.022 , the height of the facade shall be measured from the elevation of the line establishing the new sidewalk width, rather than the street property line. B. When different minimum facade heights are established at the corner of a lot, the higher minimum height shall continue to be provided around the corner for a distance equal to the higher minimum height required as depicted in Exhibit 23.86.024 B.
