§28.03 Same — Retired Officers All retired officers of the Police Department of The City of San Diego shall be entitled to possess and own the official police badge and police cap insignia of The City of San Diego; provided, however, that the same shall not be worn nor displayed publicly by any such retired officer unless special written permission so to do shall have been obtained from the Chief of the Police Department and approved by the City Manager. Said special permission shall be confined and limited to such particular occasion or occasions as are set forth in said permit.
