San José Municipal Code § 20.200.1360
in effectA "vehicle work station" is a space intended to accommodate a single motor vehicle together with the persons, equipment and tools required for the repair or servicing of said vehicle provided that if said space contains a service rack, lift or pit, it is no larger than six hundred square feet, and if it does not contain a service rack, lift or pit, it is no larger than four hundred square feet.
