in effectThe purpose of the CMU-1 Neighborhood Mixed-Use District is to accommodate the
development of residential uses along with compatible, low-intensity commercial uses
to serve adjacent residential areas. Uses should be integrated physically and accessible
by pedestrians in order to decrease reliance on individual automobiles, conserve land,
maximize use of public infrastructure, increase the quality of life in neighborhoods and
provide for the welfare of the citizens.
