Seattle Center sign overlay district purpose and intent

in effectIn addition to the regulatory purposes described in Section 23.55.001 , the purpose of this overlay district is to regulate signage to promote the Seattle Center as a vibrant and valuable community resource for arts, entertainment, sports, and civic events, and to implement the goals and policies of the Seattle Comprehensive Plan. The City recognizes the unique nature of the Seattle Center as a large civic cultural center that includes numerous individual cultural and entertainment venues and hosts numerous community events year-round.
