"Sidewalk café" is a portion of an eating or retail sales establishment located on a public sidewalk or mall which functions as an extension of the use of the adjacent private property by an eating or retail sales establishment. A sidewalk café is open to the sky except that it may have awnings or umbrellas. (Ords. 26248, 28296.)
