Parking nonconformity

A. Existing parking deficits of legally established uses shall be allowed to continue even if a change of use occurs. This provision shall not apply to a change of use to one defined as a heavy traffic generator. B. Nonconforming parking areas or nonconforming parking within structures may be restriped according to the standards of Section 23.54.030 , Parking space standards. C. Parking areas that are nonconforming uses may be restriped according to the standards of Section 23.54.030 , Parking space standards. D. In commercial zones, surface parking areas that are nonconforming due to lack of required landscaping and are proposed to be expanded by ten percent or more in number of parking spaces or in area are required to be screened and landscaped according to the standards of Section 23.47A.016 , or in the SM zone, according to Section 23.48.055 , to the extent feasible as determined by the Director.
